Something wonderfully abstracted about this song. The feeling that one is somehow extricated from the idea, which is entirely fitting with the idea itself. This was the most conventional Love Cult track I've ever heard, and yet it still managed to trace some distant feeling without alluding directly to that feeling. Like listening to pain echoing though a cavernous hole, or seeing it reflected in a hall of mirrors. Michael Keerdo-Dawson
